The istrain guide

Monday, January 04th, 2010 | Author: admin

A new application for the iphone or ipod touch that acts as a digital cannabis index. It includes a picture of the strain, a description of the smell, taste and look, a list of the medical properties associated with each individual strain, and a live news feed that recieves only cannabis related news. The strain database is updated every week, so theres a never ending list of strains. The first version of the app is free, however the second version  (coming soon!) is 99 cents; this includes zoom capabilities, a section to write notes on each strain, and a search bar.  So be one of the first among many to be apart of the istrain guide movement!!

September Strains

I purchased five strains from the bay area; SF Mist (100%sat), Bubble Gum (70/30IND/SAT), Pandora(100%sativa), Purple Hippo(100%ind), Sour Diesel (100%sat), Chem. Dog(100% sat), Purple Jewelz (100% ind), Mango Haze (100% sat).I also got Purple Kush kief, Lavender Bubble Hash and Shiva Shanti Hash. I went to two clubs- The Green Cross and The Green Door; these clubs are two of my favorites, they always have a nice selection and reasonable customer service. The Green Door is a newly remodeled club with wooded floors, a big screen T.V (can’t stay longer than an hour) and a newly installed coke machine.; however the staff, depending on who you get, are usually silent, and not all that welcoming, they treat the interaction as “business ” and not compassion. You have to work to get details regarding the strains, or else determine the potency and characteristics of the strain by a few glances. They can do better; The Green Cross (GC) has always been a favorite. They always have 55 strains you can choose from, the only problem is they are a delivery service only club, so you can’t handle the bud and smell it before you choose. I have to meet them at a specific corner in San Francisco since they do not have a store front; and almost every time they are 10 minutes sometimes 20 minutes late, one time they were 45 minutes late and I got 3 edibles free. So they have a few flaws, but over all they are a very well established cannabis club.

August strains

The Dragon’s Breath smells like no other: perhaps it could be described as a balance of sweet tangerines and basil leaves. It’s a hybrid (sativa dominant), which is suitable to treat: depression, insomnia,  ALS, Osteo- Arthritis, Arthritis and Glaucoma (just to name a few). The afghani- GDP was a powerful indica dominate hybrid capable of knocking out the average patient after a single bowl – or a couple drags off a blunt/joint. The purple erkle hash tastes and smells incredible; When smoked it bubbles like a pool of lava, which shows its purity.

These are a variety of  ”purple” strains that are all indica dominant. They all share a lathargic, heavy high with constant waves of energy. All are highly recommended for an asortment of diseases including anxiety, insomnia, ALS (Lou Gherigs Disease), OCD, and a list of gastro-intestinal disorders.
