I blended a gram of purple kush kief into two cups of butter in a sauce pan; let this simmer for 15 minutes on LOW. I then took 3 cups of oatmeal , one cup of milk, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of cinnamon, one tsp of baking soda, seedless raisins and one tsp of vanilla extract and combined it into an electrical mixer. I turned it on at level 5 and gradually poured all the canna-butter into the mix. I then took the oatmeal canna-cookie mix and divided it into cookie sized chunks. I then placed the oiled up cooking tray into the oven for 15 minutes on 250 degrees. The cookies were perfect and STRONG!!
This is cannabutter. It is fairly easy to make, you just need to have the ingredients.
Cannabutter Recipe
STEP 1: Melt .5 kg of any butter in a saucepan
STEP 2: Add several ounces of finely sifted cannabis or several grams of keif or hash oil (do not use hash). If extra potency is wanted, you can repeat step 2,3, and 4 only when using the finely sifted cannabis. If using kief or hash oil you can just add as much as you want the first time because it is extremely small and melts quick so the room for more is always available.
STEP 3: Simmer on a medium-low temp and keep a close eye on it while stirring gently the entire time. when the butter takes on a green appearence, it is time for step 4
STEP 4: If using finely sifted cannabis you will need to strain all the leaf and flower material out of the cannabutter. To do this you will need a 130-185 micron screen and a sanitized bucket (metal recommended). Pour the cannabutter through the screen into the bucket. There will be lumps of soggy bud material; take a spoon or spatula and push the material firmly against the screen so the remaining butter soaked in the material doesn’t get forgotten. Take all the “green” butter and store in a plastic conatiner and keep it refrigerated.
*****do not throw the soggy bud material into the garbage…make a “green fairy”: simmer vodka or gin in a clean sauce pan. Throw the leafy material into the pan and let sit for 2-3 min.(*keep on low-medium) using a kitchen funnel, pour the concoction into a shot glass and add a tiny pinch of sweetener and enjoy. ***EXTREMELY POTENT DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN WHAT IS NEEDED***
There are endless possibilities when cooking with cannabis. The most famous dish to infuse cannabis into is chocolate brownies. This method is particularly good because of the amount of fatty lipids it contains. THC molecules are fatty soluble, meaning they easily combine to fat. What this means is the THC will enter the body more efficiently and will have a much stronger overall effect. So when cooking with cannabis be sure to include it in a dish that contains fatty lipids (desert dishes are especially good to infuse with cannabis).
Just yesterday I prepared a dish that contained 2 grams of G-13 keif and a quarter cup cannabutter. I infused it into 10 chocolate chip muffins.
Muffin Recipe
Purchase at a local store a ready to bake chocolate chip or any kind box kit. (located near the brownie mix)
You will need the muffin mix, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup cannabutter, 1 gram or more of keif, 3/4 cup water, a cup cake/ muffin baking tray, and pam.
STEP 1: Get a metal bowl and put the water 2 eggs and muffin mix in it. Turn oven to 375 degrees, do not go higher even if the directions on the box say so. the last 1-2 minutes of baking turn up the oven to 400.
STEP 2: get a sauce pan and turn the heat up to level 3 or low. Place a quarter cup of cannabutter in as well as the keif. mix gently for 20 minutes.(*if heat source is to high it will burn the THC)
STEP 3: pour the butter into the bowl and mix well. Fill the tray holes 2/3rds of the way because the muffin batter will rise.
STEP 4: Put in the pre-heated oven and let bake for 15 minutes. Take it out after and put a tooth pick through the muffin to the bottom then take it out. If the tooth pick is wet and alot sticks to it its not done, if it is nearly dry its done. let sit for 5 minutes then enjoy.
