This Plant had a perfect photoperiod with even daylight and darkness, 12 hours daylight/ 12 hours darkness. The last grow was immature and smaller in size due to the time of planting. The seeds were sowed a bit too early, this was going on the advice of a native grower/ friend who knew the area as well as the weather. However he wasn’t positive about the local photoperiod; how long the days and nights are. This grow was planted in early august and was ready by early october, and the nugs this girl produced are rock solid! They appear extremely green but they will loose the dark hue and take on a much lighter green color after drying.

10/3/09 Harvest
FULL FLOWER OGPK 9/2009
She has been in full flower a little over one month now; usually the flowering period lasts anywhere from 55 days to 1 1/2-2 months, sometimes more, sometimes less. The last grow was no where close to the girth and overall weight this grow is accumulating. There is an obvious reason for that, the last grow was sown a bit to early for an outdoor grow. The photoperiod in the bay area early may threw late july was not suitable for a cannabis plant to reach max potential, therefore stunting the plants growth. Remember this fact, SUMMER IS FOR SEXING, and you will have a rough estimate of the time period for your grow.
When the leaves begin to yellow it means there is a nitrogen deficiency; this is perfect. You see nitrogen produces chlorophyll, and chlorophyll creates that green, grassy type taste. Properly flushed cannabis, when smoked, is supposed to burn with consistency; and not supposed to crackle and/or hiss when sparked. If the bud your smoking crackles and has a ‘spark’ affect when lit, it means one of two things. One, the bud is laced with something for whatever reason. Two, the cannabis wasn’t grown, flushed and dried properly and has an abundance of chlorophyll. In the third and fourth and sometimes fifth week of flowering, flush the soil with clean water so steady stream of water drains through the bottom. This washes out all the toxic salt build up and any other harmful stuff that builds up in the soil. The last two weeks water only 2-3 times a week to start the drying process pre-maturely. This OGPK grow has maybe two more weeks left and it will be ready to harvest.
