There are 4 main types of hash that I have personally tried. The most common is going to be cold-water extraction bubble hash; which is extracted using specially designed bags known as ‘bubble bags’. These ‘bubble bags’ are consisted of a nylon bag and a nylon netting; the netting is stitched to the bottom of the bag to act as a screen. There are usually 7 -9 bags and sometimes there are 12 sets, each bag increases in size and micron count (amount of holes in net). All the bags fit into one another size by size.

Cold water-bubble hash is the more natural method of extraction, there are three other techniques that involve gases, which include butane, ether, and CO2 and a certain amount of pressure that could potentially be harmful to you or those around you. These gases create pressure in a tube which spits out the hash into a pyrex dish or wax paper. Out of the three CO2 is the purest form of supermelt hash, then ether comes after that, and finally butane which is the least pure.
The lighter earwax (supermelt hash) is the co2 extraction, and the darker hash is the butane extraction
