FULL FLOWER OGPK 9/2009

Thursday, September 24th, 2009 | Author: admin

She has been in full flower a little over one month now; usually the flowering period lasts anywhere from 55 days to 1 1/2-2 months, sometimes more, sometimes less. The last grow was no where close to the girth and overall weight this grow is accumulating. There is an obvious reason for that, the last grow was sown a bit to early for an outdoor grow. The photoperiod in the bay area early may threw late july was not suitable for a cannabis plant to reach max potential, therefore stunting the plants growth. Remember this fact, SUMMER IS FOR SEXING, and you will have a rough estimate of the time period for your grow.

When the leaves begin to yellow it means there is a nitrogen deficiency; this is perfect. You see nitrogen produces chlorophyll, and chlorophyll creates that green, grassy type taste. Properly flushed cannabis, when smoked, is supposed to burn with consistency; and not supposed to crackle and/or hiss when sparked. If the bud your smoking crackles and has a ‘spark’ affect when lit, it means one of two things. One, the bud is laced with something for whatever reason. Two, the cannabis wasn’t grown, flushed and dried properly and has an abundance of chlorophyll. In the third and fourth and sometimes fifth week of flowering, flush the soil with clean water so steady stream of water drains through the bottom. This washes out all the toxic salt build up and any other harmful stuff that builds up in the soil. The last two weeks water only 2-3 times a week to start the drying process pre-maturely. This OGPK grow has maybe two more weeks left and it will  be ready to harvest.

An Incredible Cannabis Story

9/10

I had gone to New Jersey to visit family on september 9th 2009. The night I arrived my aunt had obviously been drinking alot of alcohol, she was irritable, loud, and had a “loose” like body posture. The next morning at about 9:30, I had awaken to my aunt, sitting at the kitchen table shaking as if she had a bad case of parkinson’s disease. She had a garbage pale clinched between her arms and legs, and in the garbage pale was a large quantity of vomit. She was dry-heaving since she had nothing left in her stomach and every time food was mentioned she would vomit. This lasted about two and a half hours, during which my uncle was in a panic state trying to figure what was wrong and how to help. The intensity climaxed when my aunt started throwing-up a purpelish, black substance into the pale; at the same time my uncle started sreaming in a questioning manner if he should take her to the hospital. If they had done that it would’ve prevented the up and coming escapade from ever happening, except, being a nurse herself, my aunt figured all the hassle to get to the hospital, the drive, the wait, and everything else that came with a hospital visit wasn’t worth it. As this was going on I started thinking and came to a conclusion that my aunt was detoxing from alcohol; she had the basic symptoms including the tremors and excessive vomiting.

I took control of the situation and took the only joint I brought with me to NJ and gave it to her. She took 3 or 4 drags when my uncle made her put the joint out. Not even 5 minutes had gone by when I looked in her direction and noticed her gazing through the window toward the lake with a weak smile. I silently got my uncles attention and he looked over and saw her relaxed, he yelled out “hahaha you stoned ?!”. She looked over in his direction and flexed a smile; she stood up slowly and walked toward my uncle and sat down next to him on the couch. My uncle asked “how you feeling?”, she replied in a lethargic way “gooood…”.

The rest of the day she would remain calm, however the next day, on route to my birthday dinner, my aunt fell over in a seizure onto my lap. We took her to the hospital were she under went testing, and in the midst of everything, she had a seizure right in front of the doctor. This lasted less than a minute and when it was over the doctor instinctively knew she was under going alcohol detox. She would sober up during the next few days and reappear as the healthy beautiful aunt I once had.

Oatmeal Canna-cookies

Monday, September 21st, 2009 | Author: admin

I blended a gram of purple kush kief into two cups of butter in a sauce pan; let this simmer for 15 minutes on LOW. I then took 3 cups of oatmeal , one cup of milk, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of cinnamon, one tsp of baking soda, seedless raisins and one tsp of vanilla extract and combined it into an electrical mixer. I turned it on at level 5 and gradually poured all the canna-butter into the mix. I then took the oatmeal canna-cookie mix and divided it into cookie sized chunks. I then placed the oiled up cooking tray into the oven for 15 minutes on 250 degrees. The cookies were perfect and STRONG!!

September Strains

I purchased five strains from the bay area; SF Mist (100%sat), Bubble Gum (70/30IND/SAT), Pandora(100%sativa), Purple Hippo(100%ind), Sour Diesel (100%sat), Chem. Dog(100% sat), Purple Jewelz (100% ind), Mango Haze (100% sat).I also got Purple Kush kief, Lavender Bubble Hash and Shiva Shanti Hash. I went to two clubs- The Green Cross and The Green Door; these clubs are two of my favorites, they always have a nice selection and reasonable customer service. The Green Door is a newly remodeled club with wooded floors, a big screen T.V (can’t stay longer than an hour) and a newly installed coke machine.; however the staff, depending on who you get, are usually silent, and not all that welcoming, they treat the interaction as “business ” and not compassion. You have to work to get details regarding the strains, or else determine the potency and characteristics of the strain by a few glances. They can do better; The Green Cross (GC) has always been a favorite. They always have 55 strains you can choose from, the only problem is they are a delivery service only club, so you can’t handle the bud and smell it before you choose. I have to meet them at a specific corner in San Francisco since they do not have a store front; and almost every time they are 10 minutes sometimes 20 minutes late, one time they were 45 minutes late and I got 3 edibles free. So they have a few flaws, but over all they are a very well established cannabis club.

OG purple kush clone 8/25/09

This purple OG Kush clone was given to me by a friend in need of some help. When I first brought her to the garden, she was over-heated, and consequently dehydrated: his grow suffers in a rather hot micro-climate, which caused the leaves to dry up and wilt. Eventually, the stress forced the pores to close up and prevent the plant from evaporating any water, which was a direct cause for the decrease in growth. Once in my custody, however, she soon recuperated at a remarkable pace; though, I couldn’t document it since a friend still had my camera… oh well :)

August strains

The Dragon’s Breath smells like no other: perhaps it could be described as a balance of sweet tangerines and basil leaves. It’s a hybrid (sativa dominant), which is suitable to treat: depression, insomnia,  ALS, Osteo- Arthritis, Arthritis and Glaucoma (just to name a few). The afghani- GDP was a powerful indica dominate hybrid capable of knocking out the average patient after a single bowl – or a couple drags off a blunt/joint. The purple erkle hash tastes and smells incredible; When smoked it bubbles like a pool of lava, which shows its purity.

Gastrointestinal Disorders and Cannabinoid Treatment

Wednesday, July 01st, 2009 | Author: admin

GI disorders including Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and colitis, afflict more than one in five American’s, particularly women. Symptoms of  GI disorders often include cramping, abdominal pain, inflammation of the lining of the large and/or small intestine, chronic diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and weight loss; people more often than not turn to conventional treatment that poorly moderates these symptoms. In 2007 there was a clinical study assessing the impact of oral THC on colonic motility that came back with positive results. There are several anecdotal reports and a handful of case reports supporting the use of cannabinoids to treat symptoms of GI disorders; however  virtually no clinical trial work has been performed in this area. The effects of the activation of CB1 and CB2 in animals include suppression of gastrointestinal motility, inhibition of intestinal secretion, reduced acid reflux, and protection from inflammation, as well as the promotion of epithelial wound healing in human tissue. Now experts have reason to believe that cannabinoids and/or modulation of the endogenous cannabinoid system represents a novel therapeutic target for the treatment of numerous GI disorders.

A World of propaganda

Friday, June 26th, 2009 | Author: admin

Political propaganda has been used since the forties to portray or persuade someone or something as something else. Long has this political technique worked with much success; breaking some people, yet at the same time making others. Many things have fallen pray to propaganda in the last 100 years including  jewish people, black America, countless politicians, political activists, arabs, muslims, mexicans, and among other things, cannabis or “marijuana”. Harry Anslinger, former commissioner of the U.S. Bureau of Narcotics, and J. Edger Hoover, former Director of the F.B.I along with Former President Richard “tricky Dick” Nixon constructed an ungodly like facade around cannabis and anything that had to do with it. They were down right crooks highjacking the U.S government to suit there own interests and they would go to the extreme to rid of any opposition.

Unfortunately when the watergate scandal unfolded the criminal was pardoned and went free. Since there was no punishment there was no lesson learned; and being so, history was doomed to repeat itself. Former President George W. Bush has had reign over the U.S. government for the past eight years. He and his cronies have had our government in the palm of their hand; literally tricking, lying to the people and congress to go to war with iraq and using our army and brave soldiers for their personal needs. Using 9/11, my birthday, as a propagandist tool to put fear into the american people; this was especially obvious when Former mayor of New York and 2009 Presidential Candidate Rudy Juliani gave a speech at the 2008 RNC convention. But now things are changing, minds are opening and brains are thinking. 14 years after tupac said we weren’t ready for a black president and 13 years after his murder a black president has been elected by the american public for the first time in U.S. history. President Barack Hussein Obama won in a landslide fashion against republican opponent Senator John McCain. President Obama is a liberal minded harvard graduate, a former community organizer from the impoverished areas of chicago and a realist who has cautious optimism. When asked question regarding personal experiences he gave an honest, dignified answer; he said himself that he inhaled when he consumed cannabis for the first time because “that was the point”.
